MALLAM NASIR EL-RUFAI ARRESTED, BUHARI SEEKS HIS IMMEDIATE RELEASE.
Former minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has been arrested by the State Security Services upon arrival from United Kingdom this morning after he accompanied Major General Muhammad Buhari, the presidential candidate of the CPC, and Vice presidential candidate of CPC, Pastor Tunde Bakare, to make a formal presentation about the recently concluded elections at the Chattam House in London.
Mr. ElRufai, who recently began writing critical columns against the regime of Goodluck Jonathan, in Nigeria's newspaper, Thisday was snagged up by the SSS and detained for questioning as he made to leave the airport this morning according to party officials.
The former Minister who was still with his phone as at the time of his arrest was tweeting the details of his arrest on popular Social Media Twitter where he announced their arrival at the SSS headquarters and was waiting to seee the Director General of the State Owned Security Outfit.
Meanwhile, the Presidential Candidate of the CPC Mohammadu Buhari has condemned his arrest and demanded his immediate release. In a statement released by his spokesman, Buhari said that hounding of innocent citizens to detention in less than a month in office while failing to rise to the security challenges facing the nation shows a regime that does not understand what its priorities should be.
